I have no doubt that this is possible. Often more goes on behind the scenes than some realize.

The last paragraph has me totally lost tough. Where did I say anything about the Federal stage? And how would I know "otherwise"; I have very little insight into the federal side of things. Perhaps you are confusing me with someone else.Jane Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11815049977368737707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31415271.post-17744414910723109432009-07-18T15:13:38.831-06:002009-07-18T15:13:38.831-06:00You can speak up for your constituents without bas...You can speak up for your constituents without bashing your colleagues. MLAs deliberate much in caucus, and members have an opportunity to voice their concerns, and collectively chart a course of action. Having input into the process doesn't mean you will get your way, however. It is disrespectful of your colleagues to participate in a caucus process, then turn around and bitch because you didn't like the result on this particular case.

If this was just a public critique from an otherwise hardworking MLA, I doubt there would have been a formal rebuke. But to privately plan to embarass your own government colleagues by working with perpetual foes and concurrently have one of the worst attendance records for caucus and committee work, well then what do you expect?

The result would have been no different on the federal stage, so let's not pretend otherwise, eh, Jane?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31415271.post-35808398321255933702009-07-18T10:47:07.749-06:002009-07-18T10:47:07.749-06:00Great post Ken.

The change you're describing here sounds more like it would be a revolution in politics, at least in Alberta.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
