Add entrepreneurial courses in public schools. No mention of the importance of science (that might annoy those who believe in creationism I guess).
- Continue the testing (little evidence that this is working now) and eliminate social promotion (so we might expect to see more 17-year-olds in grade 6?)
- Educators will be accountable for performance (Will they be fired? Less salary?)
- School Choice / parental choice that will allow funding to follow student (Others call these "vouchers" and they have not worked. Private schools love the system though. Public schools are the expected to educate those who don't qualify for the elite schools).
- School Safety (An issue that suggests that schools are not safe now. Do they have evidence? Do we really need to institute a electronic data reporting system?)Garynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31415271.post-73615012833396494312009-10-19T09:52:34.347-06:002009-10-19T09:52:34.347-06:00Ironically the party web page seems to have crashe...Ironically the party web page seems to have crashed. Is this just the result of inexperience or a symptom that reflects organization incompetence? If a similar site crash happened for the other three parties, it probably would be viewed as incompetence. Some might suggest that we should give this new party the benefit of the doubt but they are encouraging us to believe that they are Alberta's future.Garynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31415271.post-177595729625591972009-10-18T23:52:49.569-06:002009-10-18T23:52:49.569-06:00The refreshing thing about the selection of Daniel...The refreshing thing about the selection of Danielle is that it is a rejection of social conservative fundamentalist neanderthals by conservatives.
